Use of Roll Paper with Print-Tool

I came across a similar post on this issue but I’m still not sure how I can use the roll paper on my Epson 4900. I’ve just installed the Pro ink set, and had the files loaded from taking the Piezography Workshop this past summer. I have a the Epson 4900 now set up as Quad4900-ProK5. When I choose that printer in Print-Tool it only gives me cut paper options.

In the 2018 post I found on this, Walker said in answering the question that: “In the QuadtoneRIP settings choose roll paper instead of sheet.” Maybe I’m being dense, but I can’t find anywhere to enter “settings” in a QuadtoneRip. Although I have a file entitled QuadtoneRip in my applications folder, here are the only folder or file choices under QuadtoneRIP:

Curve Design
DiagnosticScript.command
Eye-One
Profiles
ATR-Create-ICC
QTR-Create-ICC-RGB
QTR-CurveView
QTR-License.rtf
QTR-Linearize-Data
QTR-Linearize-Quad
Tutorial.pdf

What am I missing to set my Quad4900-ProK5 to roll paper?

Thanks,
David

  1. Run the install command from your ProK5 curve folder.

  2. Open print tool.

  3. Load an image.

  4. Hit Print

  5. In the settings window got the middle menu that says “Layout” and go to QuadtoneRIP.

  6. You will see all the relevant QTR driver settings there,

Thank you Walker! That worked perfectly. Just missing that you can’t see the Quadtone Rip settings until hitting “Run Print.” Duh
