Softproofing Setup

If I’m printing in a non-colormetric workflow and simply linearizing curves and printing with no color management out of print tool but using the pro blender tool for curve blending and softproof data, I would keep “preserve RGB numbers” checked, along with “simulate paper color” and “simulate black ink” when setting up my softproof because I am not applying any color management during printing. Is this correct?

Thanks

Andy

Yes. This is the published workflow.

On newer Non-CRT monitors (can you tell I’m old-school?) I find that if I turn the black ink on it make the image too light on the monitor sometimes so I’ve been turning RGB numbers on and keeping the Black ink off. I find this is slightly better screen to linear print match.
