Replacing old ink

I’m about to do a lot of piezo printing after not doing any in the last year. I have a 3880 with piezo pro inks that are now several years old (from 2019). I shook up the carts, got a good nozzle check after a power clean, and made some prints that look very good. But I bought a fresh ink set to be safe.

Should I try to empty the cartridges of as much old ink as I can before filling them up with new ink? I do have PiezoFlush if necessary. Or should I get a new set of carts and start from scratch?

The best practice would be to go fresh with everything, but budgetary concerns may mean emptying the old ink (You can pull it all out with the priming tip) and going from there…

Thanks, I ordered new carts.
