RE-POST: Epson 7910 created "Minor" Scratch onto the OHP

Dear Forum Members and Walker

"the current situation is very annoying to me, so i hope someone can help me on this"!! Thanks in advance.

Sometimes, I have experience some “minor” scratches on my OHP. Since i am using Epson 7910 (US Model 7900), and it is a professional model and as far as i know…star wheels does not exist. So, what would be the potential reason for having those “fine-lines” scratches??

Questions:

1. since the options of “OHP” does not exist under paper option of Epson printer, normally, what kind of paper will you choose?? I am now using Photo Paper Glossy 250 under the paper selection option.

2. The suction force/platten gap, should i choose lower force or medium in order to avoid minor scratches. Those minor scratches (like hair-lines) appear on the negative and did show on prints.

Please advice.

Many thanks

Harris
