Concerning drying printed negatieves; Why it’s advised to hair-dry the prints? What about the heat-input and dust?

at this point we use our print-dryer (racks) for negs. It works well. We have not seen an issue with dust from hair-driers though. As long as you are in a pretty clean room you are fine.

Walker, thanks. Could you ‘explain’ why it’s necessary to ‘forced’ dry the negatives. Due to Dmax, … others? Of is the alternative ‘let the negative dry overnight’ also acceptable? Regards. Peter

let dry overnight is entirely acceptable and if you have the time I suggest it
