No sure what you are trying to do but this command will generally fix things:
sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Printers/QTR/quadtone
It will require your password after hitting enter.
I’m trying to install older curves I’ve done before in my older computer in the new computer running a newer Mac OS (Sierra). My older was 10.7.5
So, I must run <span style=“color: #5b5b5b; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 15.6px;”>sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Printers/QTR/quadtone in the Terminal module, right ? </span>

Yes. Run that command in terminal then copy all your curves from the old computer into new computer into >Applications>Piezography>Curves>…
Then run the install command.

I try to install PiezoDN new curves with OS BIG SUR and a an Epson P800. .

Sunday my printer refused to print between two negatives of the same file. I had just changed the curve in Print tool.
I uninstalled and re-installed QTR and Print Tool. Gave all permissions to the Quads, restored a previous Time Machine. It still didn’t work. The printer swallowed the paper and ejected it without printing. My epson stil accept printing with epson driver. And always this error message about CUPS when installing the curves.
After uninstalling my Epson driver, and re-installing it, everything works again.
But for how long?
Why do the curves I create sometimes appear as .txt files in the curves folder in my Piezographie folder.? On Roy Harrington’s recommendations I deleted them.
Thanks again for. enlightening me in my open dec of this wonderful instrument… too delicate no doubt for my skills.

if you save a curve without saving it as “.quad” than it will be “.txt” that is why. If you have a .txt in there it may corrupt an older curve that had been .quad

Hi Walker
I have saved .Quad files in the “curves” folder of PiezoDn Pro. When I wanted to install the new curve the installation program created .text files and even duplicated some of them by creating "in and out.text files ».
Since then on the advice of Roy Harrington I have cleaned up and deleted the .txt files.
I will resume a series of prints of negatives for the Argyrotype process, I will keep you informed.

I must not be very good, but I can’t install the curves
When I want to install a new curve I get two error messages;
the first one
“Inks mismatch: PPD has K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK,LLK and Quad has K,C,M,Y,LC,LM,LK,LLK,OR,GR”
The second one `about install P800
I can read this message

/Library/Printers/QTR/bin/quadinstall $0
What must i do now?

Hi Walker.
It seems that it is the installation of theP800 with Air Print that was disturbing the system.
Indeed I had not been vigilant enough during the installation of the Epson printer driver.
I disconnected the wi-fi on both the printer and the computer. So the printers, including the QTR printers, were well installed with the USB port and the dedicated driver.
It seems that it works normally with the curve I created last week. The Argyrotype is still in the water. It seems to be satisfactory.
Thank you very much for your attention and help. (PS: I updated my OS to Monterey last night)
