Hello, later this year I’ll need to switch from P2 to (finally) Pro. Is the following position of the inks correct for a P‑600 based in Europe? This compared with the actual positions for the P2.
With the P2, that I’ve currently in use, there is no need to switch for the black ink. With the curve the ink for matt and gloss is respectively chosen. The P-600 is always on MK.
For the Pro, I assume the following;
→ For Matt, before printing, select MK on the P-600 (and use the corresponding QTR-curve).
→ For Gloss, before printing, select PK on the P-600 (and use the corresponding QTR-curve).
OK?
(I assume that I will need to empty the external waste ink bottle? Because the printer will ‘flush’ when switching between the black inks.)
Yes to your points, and if you have fixed an external waste ink bottle to your P-600 it will fill up even on its own with just EPSON normal maintenance routines such as startup and auto cleans, etc. But yes - an external bottle needs to be emptied from time to time.
