Hi
I have moved my printer to a new location (P900 EU version with Piezography Pro inks) and attached to a new computer (Macbook Pro M3). I copied my linearised curves from the old mac mini to the new computer and ran the install command. All looked fine.
However, when I print using my curves the prints are coming out very dark. Printing with one of the canned curves looks much more normal. Do I have to reprofile all my curves on the new computer which will take ages?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark
You should not have to. It is probably permissions issues around printing on OS X. Go to your Library / Printers / QTR / quad tone / (your installed folder of curves) and look at the canned curves and your curves by getting Info on each. All should have permissions for “everyone” set at Read & Write. Hopefully that’s all that is.
When you copied your curves over to the new laptop, the new OS X decided that it needed to protect them from you and you from them. For all Apple knows you might try and install them in your Library!
Only Apple blessed software gets to do things like that.
