I’m not totally clear on if it’s preferable to use M0 or M2 measurements when linearizing curves. Currently I’ve been measuring a number of targets with an IsisXL. I can choose either M2 singe-scan or dual scan for M0 and M2. There’s no single-scan option for M0 measurements with the Isis.
It would save some time to just do a single-scan if M2 data would be OK, otherwise I’ll continue with the dual scanning and only using the M0 measurement data for linearizing.
M2 cuts the effect of optical brighteners in papers. M0 can not. The only difference would be if you are using optically brightened papers and making soft proofing ICCs with the data, then M2 is preferred. Single scan is usually sufficient.
