Linearizing Pt/Pd question

Earlier today I printed the 129 step chart in Pt/Pd after determining my base printing time. I’ve got some nice blacks in the print but the first two columns are almost blown out. Should I go ahead and linearize the chart or do I need to change something up? My Cyanotype chart had nice tones from hilights to shadow.

Thanks!
Chris

You should do the limiting procedure as listed in the Deluxe manual PDF.

Yeah, that totally makes sense, thanks!

Hey Walker, quick question. On the 129 step I printed, my first tone is at patch B8. In the file, that patch is 87% black. That correlates to patch (223, -3) on the limiter file. Can I then build my limit based on 220 (-4), or would you recommend I go ahead and print the limiter to make sure?

Thanks again,
CB

you can just go ahead and use those numbers I think. no need to print the actual limiter target.

best,
Walker

My limited step wedge is perfect! Thanks so much, Walker.
