Has anyone seen a solution to the i1Profiler issue that is approaching users of macOS?
xRite left this market and has turned over support of the instruments and software to Calibrite and they have their own agenda. You may want to contact Calibrite and ask if they intend to rewrite the application or will they replace it with a new one.
i1Profiler can easily be addressed by a $35-$75 MacMini from eBay running a pre-Ventura OS. Make sure you do not purchase one that has been upgraded to modern OS X.
In this case you install the old xRite software on it to run your spectro. You will also get better printing from hanging your printers off it. This eliminates the constant OSX ICC interference (or changes) and allows printing targets from applications other than Preview to circumvent that. Of course one can print color targets from PrintTool to circumvent that. But older OSX helps users who have color printers and want to stabilize and potentially improve their ICC color management. It also offers the older interface to QTR which is much simpler to print with and eliminates saved settings issues or any issues surrounding “last used settings” being forgotten. Just a much better workflow to use a Printer server this way.
Here is a link to a tutorial on how to set one up as a shared server so that you can continue imaging on latest greatest and printing from a rock steady.

The tutorial says the Sonoma release broke color management. If that is the case, Ventura would seem to be the last release supporting the older color management. You say in the above message pre-Ventura should be run instead of the current revs. Is there something in Ventura that we should stay away from that release?
Ventura is when settings stickiness began to become wonky. If you’re careful and do not back out of print windows by cancel button they hold but otherwise often reset to default. We have Ventura in our studio but still do not print from it directly.
I am supposing that was beginning of the era Apple techno abandoned paying attention to printing and focusing instead on video and display optimization which is a growing sector.
If you’re in this forum you’re using color management at an extremely high level compared with average consumers who just press print with Eco Tank printers which is Epson largest market. The more sophisticated tools is what has been suffering.
