DN Ink installations and curves

I’ve been watching the really helpful online PiezoDN course, but am a little confused about the discussion of matching ink installations and curvesets.

I am setting up a dedicated 3880 for digital negatives, and I ordered the K7/PiezoDN Selenium ink set for this.
The installation instructions that came with the inks have the cartridges in this sequence:
K7:MK
K7:PK
K7:S6
K7:GO
K7:S2
K7:S4
K7:S3
K7:S5
K7:S7

As I understand Online Lesson 1, Matte black isn’t used for DN, and Photo Black goes into the Yellow Channel, where I now have K7:S7 installed.

I think I also understand that the K7 curves would match the way I have the cartridges installed, but that it is preferable to use the PiexoDN P2 curves for DN. Should I move the cartridges and chips around, or just use the K7 curves instead?

Thanks for your help with this.

Thanks for the email. And sorry for delay on more videos.

Your ink setup is fine I think. It should be as shown below:

You can simply switch to Photo Black on your printer’s control panel and then use a Non-p2 PiezoDN curve.
