I am unclear how to create a first curve for a paper, ink, printer combo.
I’m assuming that most matte papers are closely similar to each other as would be most baryta papers. Question 1: Is that a valid assumption?
If I had a paper I wanted to profile for the first time, would this process get me there: starting with a Piezography provided curve for a paper which I thought may be similar and using that curve as a starting point for the linearization process - Question 2: Would I generally end up with an accurate curve? I wonder if I might have to go through the process 1 or 2 additional times to get there.
