9800 - long in the tooth

Hi Walker and others

I have a 9800 loaded with Pro inks.
The hassle of course with the 9800 is the need to flush out the K channel when switching MK to Pk etc
Luckily I print the majority of the time with MK but ultimately at some point I would like to upgrade to a newer model machine that has an easier channel switch.

But my question is this, purely from a print quality point of view, would a newer model of printer (i.e 9890, 9900 etc) result in better print quality? Better print in terms of dot placement. Sharpness and detail. That kind of thing?

Thanks,
Neil
