It’s a bit of a ghost town around here but I can tell you of IJM support issues with these two models.
The 4880 like all of the X800 and X880 printers is a workhorse. Nothing seems to clog it or can not be unclogged with PiezoFlush. It does not have the new TFP coatings and power and powerful cleans do not heat up the ink channels. Dampers should still be available to renew it if you check on ali express or eBay or get parts from arditos.com
The 4900 was probably the worst of the X900 printers with OEM inks and unfortunately running power or powerful cleans melted the TFP coating on the new head design - so a bit self-destructing if clogged.
If you want a newly refurbished 17” printer contact arditos.com as they are also warrantying them. I have used them for some three decades now. Staff bought the company from the original owner. They truly are the best. They have rebuilt our printers here at CEP and lots of our customers use them. They can offer you a 3880 or P800.
