K6 /K7 Selenium Future Availability

It appears at the Inkjetmall store that Selenium Shade 6 is listed temporary out of stock for all that Shade’s bottle sizes.

Will any of the Selenium Shades at the store be replenished, now particularly Shade 6, after the current stock of Selenium Shades are exhausted?

It could be in stock by end of next week.

We plan to continue it into 2026.

Unfortunately, I spoke too soon! I will need to formulate it. Will be just a small lab batch as not enough customers for a production batch. It will probably be the last I will make.

However, I will not be able to until towards the end of September… You may try and substitute neutral 6 in the meantime if you are in a pinch.

Hi Ed,

Just saw a post come by that your PiezoDN negs are too light. Are you using Selenium K7 inks with your negative making or the Piezography Pro inks?

Pro inks that are out of date but have been agitated to reduce settling.

I have decided to forgo any further purchasing of K7 selenium. I already have 350ml + of each shade left including the older Shade 1 Photo Black. I also do not want to run a new linear curve and ICC profile for the new HD Black. Based on past reply that a neutral shade 6 could be used in a pinch if needed in place of selenium shade 6 could the same thing be done with shade 2 or any other selenium shade using an equivalent neutral shade? I am guessing this would only be for a single shade in a pinch and not more than 1 shade to maintain the selenium look.

Selenium needs shade 2 for its deepness… the shade 6 in a pinch would be less influential in the “look” of selenium…..
